Free Summer Concert Series Kicks Off In Downers Grove
The weekly concert series has 13 bands and performers lined up throughout the summer.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- The Downers Grove Park District will kick off summer with the first of 13 planned performances for Fishel Park's Free Summer Concert Series. The family-friendly concert series kicks off on May 29 and lasts through August 21.
In addition to the musical acts, the Free Summer Concert Series will feature food from local vendors, including Robinson's Ribs and Every Day's A Sundae. Food and drinks, including beer and wine, will be available after 6 p.m.
"We hope to see more families come out and join us this summer," Concert Series Organizer Michelle Pusateri said in a statement. She mentioned that the lineup is more diverse this year, with Rosie and the Rivets swinging 1950s music, The Four C Notes, and Suburban Cowboys.
