Get Out: Art, Music, Sports and Snow
It's Thursday and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue.

Where/When: Open Mike Night, Friday, 8 p.m.
Why Go: All are welcome to perform at this popular event. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for signups on a first come, first served basis. Performers are limited one or two songs or 10 minutes.
Pricing: Cover charge is $7.

Where/When: with an opening reception from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
Why Go: District 99 student artists won 138 awards in the competition. The public is invited to view their works, which will be on display in the North lobby. Pricing: Free

Where/When: Girls play at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 7:30 p.m.. Both games are in the Purple Gym at North High School.
Why Go: The crosstown rivalry is alive and well.

Where/When: At the Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St., Oak Brook, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go: Activities include geocaching, nature hikes ice-fishing and more. Warm up with popcorn and hot chocolate in Mayslake Hall after.

Where/When: Down 800-foot Mount Hoy at the Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go: Make the most out of the snow. For snow conditions call 630-871-6422.
Pricing: Tubes must be rented for $4 each.
