Get the Wild Woods Delivered to Your Door

Announcing the Launch of Wild Woods Box – a woodland themed subscription box

Spending time in woodlands is good for our health. Studies have shown that it can lower blood pressure, boost creativity, improve fitness levels and reduce stress and now the woods can come direct to your doorstep with the first ever woodland themed subscription box

Every three months, subscribers will receive a curated box with fun, educational and eco-friendly goodies inspired by the different activities, sights and sounds that each season brings to the woods.

The new service is the creation of the staff at Lyman Woods – a nature preserve and interpretive center managed by Downers Grove Park District.

“Lyman Woods is free to visit year-round and every season there’s something new to experience.” Says Ian Everett, Supervisor of Marketing at Downers Grove Park District. “We created this box to highlight the wide variety of activities visitors can enjoy in the woods and to encourage everyone to visit their local woods more often.”

Items in the spring season box include a mini-compass for geocaching; heirloom tomato seeds from the nature center’s garden, a sticker sheet featuring birds that can be seen during the spring and a jar of Imaginary Mud™ - real mud from Lyman Woods that kids can find unlimited imaginative ways to play with.
