Good Samaritan Patient Threatens To Kill Nurse: Police

According to a police report, he also used racial slurs against one of the employees.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Wheaton man faces disorderly conduct charges after he allegedly threatened to kill a nurse and technician and used racist slurs while in the emergency room at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Timothy J. Burns, 53, of the 700 block of Liberty Street, Wheaton, is accused of telling the nurse who was trying to draw blood Thursday, "I'm going to [expletive] kill you. I've got your name. I know where you're at. Just wait til you see what [expletive] happens."

Police say Burns became "irate" with the nurse and an ER technician as they tried to draw his blood. Burns is accused of using "several racial slurs" and threatening to break the technician's neck.

Burns was taken into custody, then released on an i-Bond.
