Kids, Adults Can Reel In Prizes At 2022 Fishing Derby At Barth Pond

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Kids and kids at heart can cast out to compete for prizes during the 2022 Fishing Derby, set for Aug. 6 at Barth Pond. The derby will return in full force after having been held virtually in 2020 and held with limited in-person participation in 2021.

Four different age groups are available for participants. Trophies and prizes will be doled out for the angler who catches the shortest and longest fish in their age group. Competitors who are 16 or older must have a valid Illinois fishing license to take part in the derby.

The age groups are as follows:

• One to five years old
• Six to 10 years old
• 11 to 15 years old
• 16 to 99 years old
