Laptop Stolen During Car Burglary In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Police in Downers Grove are looking for a suspect or suspects who stole a laptop from a vacationing family's unattended car in a hotel parking lot Monday. The incident took place around 10 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn located at 1113 Butterfield Rd.

The victim told police they had just gotten to the hotel and were getting their children inside the room before returning to get the remainder of their luggage. Police say the victim left the car unlocked and unattended for about 15 minutes before returning from the room to find their MSI Stealth Pro laptop had been stolen.

The laptop was valued at approximately $1,000.
