Lawnmower Stolen From Front Yard In Downers Grove: Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police are looking for a suspect or suspects who stole a lawnmower from the front yard of a residence in Downers Grove. The theft took place Sunday in the 1st block of Tower Ct., according to police.

The victim told police he had just finished cutting the grass around 5:30 p.m. when he went to the backyard to gather some sticks. When he returned to the front yard, he saw that his lawnmower was missing from the front yard's parkway.

Police say a witness told them they saw someone loading the lawnmower into an older gray or silver truck with a metal rack in the truckbed. The truck then fled east on Tower Ct., according to police.
