Main Street Improvements: Residents Invited To Public Meeting
The Sept. 21 meeting will be held at Downers Grove Village Hall.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove residents are invited to a neighborhood meeting to discussed improvements the village is considering for Main Street. The meeting will be held at village hall on Sept. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Visitors will be able to view proposed improvements, ask questions and offer feedback. The initiative is part of the Downers Grove High School Safety Study and the work will be focused between Franklin Street and Sherman Road, according to an update from the village.

- Adding left turn lanes
- Creating designated bike lanes
- Installing light poles at pedestrian level
- Installing a left turn arrow for eastbound traffic at Franklin
