Man With Gunshot Wound Found On Doorstep Of Police Station In Downers Grove: Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — An elderly man was found lying near the entrance of the Downers Grove Police Station with a gunshot wound, according to a statement from the Village of Downers Grove. The incident took place Sept. 14 at approximately 4:50 p.m. at 825 Burlington.

Law enforcement reportedly found the victim at the police station's back entrance. After reviewing security footage, it was determined that the man had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was rushed to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
