Man Hit By Car In Downers Grove, Suffers Serious Injuries
A car struck a 61-year-old man early Thursday morning on Butterfield Rd. just east of Rte. 53 in Downers Grove.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL ā A car hit a pedestrian early Thursday morning in Downers Grove, causing him to suffer serious injuries. Police arrived at the scene of the accident at Butterfield Rd. near Rte. 53 to find a 61-year-old man lying in the street badly injured.
According to a notice on the Village of Downers Grove website, a car struck the pedestrian at approximately 6:30 a.m. Police said the man was walking in the westbound lane of Butterfield when he was hit. He was rushed to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police as the investigation into this accident continues.
