Mischief Makers Tamper With Halloween Decorations

A homeowner came home only to find that someone had vandalized the Halloween decorations in his yard for the second time in a week, reports said.

Downers Grove police investigated a report of mischief in the 5300 block of Brookbank Road around 1:51 a.m. on Oct. 18.

Vandals smashed a pumpkin in the driveway and there was hay from a dismantled hay bale strewn around the yard. Other decorations had also been tampered with.

The homeowner told police that the week before someone had thrown a large quantity of tampons on his driveway.
