Muriel Mundy's Last Public Day is Wednesday, Next Tenant Undetermined
Muriel Mundy will be open Wednesday.
will be open for a while on Wednesday in case you have any last minute dealings with the store to take care of. After Wednesday, the store will be closed for final cleanup. Muriel Mundy will be completely out of the space at Curtiss and Main on the 15th.
As for what's going to take its place, nothing has been set in stone, according to Linda Kunze, Executive Director of the .
"We're looking for something unusual that would be a draw," Kunze said. "That's our premier spot on the corner [and the] property owner is waiting to see what kid of tenants are interested."

According to Kunze and Muriel Mundy's owner, Barb Schroeder, a wide variety of potential tenants have checked out the space, from cabinet makers to drama academies to yogurt shops and more. It seems unlikely the space will be filled with a restaurant, though, Kunze said.
While the property owner has the ultimate say in who comes in, Kunze said the Management Corporation and the property owner are in constant contact and the property manager wants to make sure whoever comes in is the best fit for the space and the downtown area.

"I don't think he's in a tremendous hurry [to get new tenants in]," Kunze said.
