The Nature of Longevity
Why does the human body turn against itself in response to its environment?

Environmental specialist Douglas Mulhall and author of the upcoming book, The Nature of Longevity, has uncovered that there is much more than what meets the eye when it comes to how the environment affects our lives. Our environment plays a significant role which is often overlooked when looking at health factors. “Inflammation is triggered in all of us by attacks from the environment on our body. These include natural and human-made pollution, chronic noise, toxic metals, infection, and radiation. Inflammation is effective when those attacks are brief, but when they’re chronic, it turns against you. This misguided defense hardens your arteries and limits how long and well you live,” says Mulhall.
There is good news however! Today you can find that natural substances and nature-inspired technologies are being used to reverse the damage with everything from nutrition, to therapy. Mulhall goes on to say that, “Arteries blocked by heart disease are being reopened and nutraceuticals have been used to improve heart health. The elastic that keeps us flexible is being repaired using nature-inspired nano-targeting. Strangely, while results are published in scientific journals, most people still don’t know about these advances.”
Douglas has been featured on A&E's Modern Marvels series Future Tech, CNN, NBC News, CBS News.and more.
