NY Times Journalist to Speak at Avery Coonley School

New York Times financial journalist and best-selling author Ron Lieber will speak at the Avery Coonley School on Monday, April 11, at 7:00 pm. Mr. Lieber’s most recent book is “The Opposite of Spoiled: Raising Kids Who Are Generous, Grounded, and Smart About Money.”

Mr. Lieber will offer some very practical parenting tips about things like chores and allowances, and will also address bigger-picture topics like saving for college and preparing our kids to become financially responsible. He will also talk about ways to instill virtues like modesty, patience, generosity, and long-term perspective. He will be available after the presentation to sign copies of his book.
