Oak Brook Man Gets Out of Hand On Ogden Avenue: Police

Man terrorized Ogden Avenue in series of incidents, cops say.

An Oak Brook man who went on a terror on Ogden Avenue is now facing three aggravated battery felony charges, police announced.

Patrick S. Callaghan, 29, was arrested after a series of incidents along Ogden Avenue on Oct. 9.

The first incident occurred at Shanahan’s Pint House at 2009 Ogden Avenue. Downers Grove police said that Callaghan hit another patron with a glass.

After leaving the pint house, Callaghan allegedly tried to force his way into an occupied vehicle at the West Suburban Humane Society at 1901 Ogden Ave.

The evening culminated with Callaghan causing a disturbance at Jimmy John’s at 2321 Ogden Ave..In each incident, Callaghan fled before officers arrived, a police news advisory said.

Callaghan was eventually found in the area of the Lyman Woods Nature Center located at 901 31st Street where he was taken into custody.
