Ornaments Sought For 2022 Holiday Tree In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — 'Tis the season to think about how to adorn the downtown Downers Grove Christmas tree with homemade ornaments. The village is seeking ornaments from residents, local groups, businesses and other organizations.
The following guidelines are in place for ornaments:
- At least eight inches in diameter
- Made of lightweight, weatherproof material
- Avoid sharp and pointy edges
- Twine or string used to hang ornament should be looped and between 10 or 12 inches long
To submit your ornaments, mail them to Downers Grove Public Works Department, 5101 Main St., Downers Grove. The deadline to submit your ornament is Nov. 18.

Downers Grove will host its tree-lighting ceremony Nov. 25 at 4:30 p.m. at the Metra station on Main Street.
