Pedestrian Hit By Car In Downers Grove: Police
Police say the man was crossing 63rd Street when they were struck by a car.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A pedestrian has been hospitalized after he was hit by a car early Saturday morning in Downers Grove, according to police. The accident took place at approximately 5:13 a.m. near the intersection of 63rd St. and Woodward, police say.
According to police, the man was crossing 63rd when he were hit by an oncoming car. The victim was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital with head and leg injuries, Downers Grove Sergeant David Bormann told Patch, but their age and condition were not available as of late Friday.
Traffic was reduced to one lane for more than three hours as police and the DuPage County Felony Investigative Assistance Team (FIAT) worked to clean up the area and reconstruct the accident. FIAT often assists with accidents that involve serious or fatal injuries.
