Attempted Burglary
An attempted break-in was reported Nov. 12 in the 400 block of 63rd St., Downers Grove. The attempt appeared to have happened the night before. Staff members came into work at the office in question and noticed it was difficult to open the locked interior door. They noticed the latch screws for the deadbolt were loose, and there were scratches around the door. Nothing inside the office was missing or disturbed.

Basket of Goods Stolen From Walgreens

A theft was reported Nov. 10 from the Walgreens store, 6240 Belmont Road, Downers Grove. Two young males carried a shopping basket filled with items out the door of the store. They did not stop when the anti-theft alarms activated.
