WEDNESDAY AUGUST 13

Consumption of Alcohol by Minor

A caller reported a man walking through yards and trying to open doors in the 6200 block of Springside Avenue around 1:10 a.m. Police located the man, later identified as Ryan M. Morrissey, 19, of Woodridge, in the roadway.

Morrissey appeared “highly intoxicated” and showed other signs of impairment, reports said.

Police said that Morrissey could not articulate where he was at the moment, but said he was “coming from a buddy’s house” and was attempting to walk home.

The caller told police that Morrissey knocked on her door several times, and tried to get into her garage, reports said. After several attempts, she watched him walk away and enter her neighbors’ yards and knock on their doors, police said.

He was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and released. Morrissey has a Sept. 24 court date.

TUESDAY AUGUST 12

Tiny Bubbles

Police were dispatched to Washington Park at 835 Prairie Avenue around 10:41 p.m. When the officer arrived the fountain was full of bubbles and white power was found along the sides. No one else was in the park and there did not appear to be any damage to the foundation.

JULY 16

Keeping Place of Prostitution

Asia L. Morgan, 20, of Rockford, was charged with keeping a place of prostitution.

Police responded to a call for a report of a verbal argument at the Extended Stay, 3150 Finely Road, around 5:08 p.m. July 16.

Previously, intelligence had been developed that one of the parties in the argument was Morgan, known to police as a prostitute who comes to Downers Grove, reports said.

Morgan was placed in handcuffs and charged. She was served with a bail bond and has an August 20 court date.
