Proposed Historic Preservation Committee Takes Shape

The committee could designate historic landmarks and districts.

Mayor Martin Tully is putting together a list of Downers Grove residents who may be qualified to serve on a proposed historic preservation subcommittee.

If the committee is approved by the village council, seven members would meet twice a month with the seven members of the Architectural Design Review Board to designate historic landmarks and districts, according to the Chicago Tribune.
