Renovations Underway At Concord Square Park In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Renovations are underway at Concord Park playground in Downers Grove. The playground closed as of Aug. 31 and will remain closed during the upgrades.

According to the Downers Grove Park District, Concord Park's playground equipment is 25 years old. Renovations include replacing this equipment and adding an independent structure for children between the ages of two and five years old.

Two new swings will be added and the park's surface will be replaced with a synthetic grass turf.

It's expected the renovations and closure will last into mid-October.
