A panel of experts will discuss the Safe-T Act at an event Oct. 4 at the Chicago Marriott in Naperville.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A group of local officials and law enforcement experts will field questions and discuss the ins and outs of the Illinois Safety, Accountability, Fairness and Equity-Today (SAFE-T) Act on Oct. 4 at the Chicago Marriott in Naperville. The event and breakfast, cohosted by Chamber630 and 11 other local chambers of commerce, will help residents understand the potential impacts of the SAFE-T Act, which fully takes effect in January 2023.
“Safety is a top concern of all DuPage County businesses and certainly residents," Chamber630 President and CEO Laura Crawford said in a news release.
She added, "Based on the crime stats we see in Chicago, where this law has already been implemented, it could become a crucial economic development issue, and we should all be paying close attention to its impact.”
