Saturday Last Day for Cheeseburger in Paradise
The struggling restaurant chain's Downers Grove location chain will close its doors on Saturday.
Saturday will be your last chance to visit “heaven on earth with an onion slice,” as Cheeseburger in Paradise closes its doors for good in Downers Grove.
The restaurant located at Finley and Butterfield Roads, is the last of the Illinois locations to shut its doors.
Named for his famous song, Jimmy Buffett sold his chain of Margaritaville restaurants for $11 million to Luby Inc. based in San Antonio, TX, in 2012.

The chain that once counted 23 restaurants, is now down to 17 locations in 11 states. Other Cheeseburger in Paradise locations that closed in Illinois include Des Plaines, due to high rents. Another Luby-branded restaurant Fuddrucker’s took over the Algonquin location last year.
Officials from Luby Inc. are expected to be at the Downers Grove location for its last day on Saturday.
