School Report Cards Among Items on Packed D99 Agenda

Board will also hear recommendation to disapprove invoice for additional commission on Woodridge land.

District and school report cards will be presented to the Community High School District 99 school board at its 7 p.m. meeting tonight at North High School, 4436 Main St.

The board also will be advised on the district's $1.3 million capital improvement plan for 2011-12, as well as heating and cooling plant renovations at South High School.

Also on the agenda is an administrative recommendation to disapprove a $268,750 invoice from Newcastle Ltd., a Chicago-based commercial real estate firm the district retained to assist with the potential sale of its Woodridge parcel.  Newcastle billed the district for "advisory services" following the final $14.288 million disposition of the 45-acre parcel. The district paid Newcastle $100,000 on February 27, 2007—a payment the district maintains fulfills its obligation to the firm.
