The man, later identified as Richard A. Meadows, 35, of Mt. Prospect, did not appreciate being asked to leave and became belligerent. He took off his shirt and in an “aggressive manner,” and yelled at the caller that he was going to “burn down his house” scaring him, reports said.

Meadows was found a few doors down and police said he became argumentative when the officer asked for his ID.

The officer said that Meadows could not stand still, had slurred speech and alcohol on his breath. He would not answer the officer’s questions and continued to yell obscenities, according to the report.

Police said that Meadows began taking off his jeans for no apparent reason. He was advised that he was being taken into custody and handcuffed with no further issues.

Meadows was charged with disorderly conduct and ordered not to return to the caller’s home or he would be arrested. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in court on a future date.
