Summer Nights Classic Car Shows Kick Off In Downers Grove
See vintage cars lined up along Main Street as part of this summertime ritual.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The feeling of summertime is palpable in the air, which means it's time for residents to polish their vintage rides and hot rods and cruise to downtown Downers Grove for the start of the Summer Nights Classic Car Show. The 2019 season will kick off May 24 at 6 p.m. and will be held every Friday through August 30.
Each Summer Nights car show spotlights a different make, style, or era of vehicle. Classic cars can line up along Main Street between Maple and Franklin regardless of make or model. If your car falls into the night's theme and was made before 1994, you can park on Curtiss Street.
The show's opening night features classic Ford, Edsel, Mercury and Lincoln cars.

Local musicians will set the stage with live music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Main Street train station.
