Summer Storytelling Series Features Wednesday Morning Movie Films
Anderson's Bookshop Series Kicks Off June 23rd

Downers Grove, IL –The Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Avenue, in downtown Downers Grove, and Anderson’s Bookshop, have come together to offer summertime fun by offering a Tuesday and Thursday summer storytelling series in conjunction with the popular Wednesday Morning Movie Series.
Anderson’s Bookshop, 5112 Main St., Downers Grove, will kickoff the storytelling series on Tuesday, June 23 at 10 a.m. with the book “How to Train Your Dragon.” “How to Train Your Dragon 2” will be the featured film on Wednesday, June 24 as part of Classic Cinemas’ annual Wednesday Morning Movie Series. Anderson’s storytelling series will continue through the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and feature stories related to the movies presented as part of the Wednesday Morning Movies Series. Downers Grove students Sam Smith and Dahlia Pajewski are the volunteer readers for the summer storytelling series.

“We look to bring together the Downers Grove hometown movie theatre with the hometown bookstore to create an educational opportunity for our younger residents,” explains Linda Smith, general manager of the Tivoli Theatre. “It should be a great community program for both kids and their parents!”
The recent debut of the annual Wednesday Morning Movie Series was a huge success, and the series will continue every Wednesday through August 9th. Upcoming showings include “Paddington” on July 1, “Penguins of Madagascar” on July 8 and “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” on July 15.

The WMMS will only show PG rated films, which makes them perfect for all ages. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the movie begins at 10 a.m. Admission is only $1 per person. Be sure to arrive early to meet some of your favorite characters and join in on the fun games and activities.
