Suspects At Large After Sub Shop Burglarized In Downers Grove: Police

Two suspects are still at large following an early morning burglary at Mr. Submarine on Ogden Avenue.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Two suspects who fled police on foot are still at large after the Mr. Submarine on Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove was burglarized Monday morning.

Downers Grove police got a call from Elmhurst and DuPage County-area officers in progress at the sub shop at 1322 Ogden Ave around 2 a.m. Two cars fled the scene, heading south on Downers Grove Deputy Chief Jim McGreal told Patch.

Officers stopped one car near the intersection of I-355 and Ogden Avenue and arrested two women. Two men who were in a second car were arrested near the intersection of I-355 and Maple after fleeing a traffic stop on foot, police say.

The other two males in the car got out and fled on foot and were still being sought as of 12 p.m. Monday.

McGreal said officers from Downers Grove, Elmhurst and nearby searched the surrounding area Monday morning, but did not find the suspects.
