Police say a resident spotted the symbol while driving down Gilbert Avenue.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Downers Grove Police were called to Gilbert Park Friday after a resident reported seeing a Nazi symbol in the snow while driving past the park on their way to work. Police say someone likely used their feet to carve a 10 foot by 10 foot swastika into the sand on the baseball field.
Police say the incident was reported just after 8 a.m. According to a police report, officers were able to remove the symbol by moving and rearranging the sand.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5600.
