The Easter Brunch (or Lunch) Bunch

Not up to spending Easter cooking in the kitchen? Or maybe you just don't feel like waiting in line for your annual honey baked ham?

No worries. The following area restaurants are offering Easter Day brunches and dinners—just be sure to leave room for all the chocolate treats and jelly beans the Easter Bunny is sure to leave behind! Reservations are strongly encouraged, if not required:

1. : 1000 31st St., 630-960-5700.
   If seafood is what you want, sea food you will get, and then some! Chef Patrick McLaughlin presents a decadent all-you-can-eat brunch buffet featuring both hot and cold seafood bars, carving stations, made-to-order omelets and much more. Adults: $29.95, Children 6-12: $14.95, Children under 6: free.
2. :  5200 Main St., 630-434-8500.
   A cold buffet with assorted fresh fruits and salads, a hot buffet featuring roast beef  and hickory smoked ham, an omelet station, and desserts galore are all on tap. Adults: $26.99, Children 6-12: $12.99, Children 5 and under: free.
3. Rockwood Tap House: 3131 Finley Road, 630-964-3131. This recently opened restaurant will feature a buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m, with the last seating at 4:30 p.m. The menu includes a prime rib carving station, made-to-order omelet station, baked ham, orange ginger salmon, roasted turkey, champagne chicken, smoked salmon, Eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, French toast, muffins, Danish, salads, fresh fruit and a dessert table. Adults: $24.95, children 4-12: $12.95, children 3 and under: $3.95.
4. : 5101 Mochel Drive, 630-969-9869. 
   With seatings at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m., the buffet will include home-made breakfast items including  French toast, frittatas, smoked ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, fruit, garden salads, pastries,  cookies, brownies, bagels and cream cheese, and a  build-your-own omelet station. Adults: $28.99, children 5-12: $16.99, seniors 60 and older: $22.99, children 4 and under: free.
5. : 1801 Butterfield Road, 630. 512.0990. 
   For Easter, Carlucci's will offer a special ala carte menu, including Fritatta con Gamberi e Carciofi, a baked Italian omelet with shrimp, marinated artichokes, pancetta, and leeks ($12.95); Tuscan Toast, Italian country bread baked in a sweet custard with raisins and almonds ($10.95); and Salmone al Cartoccio, salmon baked in a parchment paper pouch with shrimp, spinach, potato, zucchini, and tomato ($17.95).
