Trojans Down Mustangs in Downers Grove Crosstown Classic

With the Downers Grove North Trojans enjoying a terrific start, you had to wonder if the thrill of the crosstown battle would inspire the Downers Grove South Mustangs to rally for an upset.
Downers Grove South held its own for the first half, as North held a 6-0 lead at the break. The Trojans jumped out to a 27-7 lead, but then had to hold on for a 27-20 victory.
North improved to 4-1 on the season while South dropped to 1-4. Next up for the Trojans is a road game at winless York, while South hosts Willowbrook.
