The Downers Grove Recycling Extravaganza will collect unwanted and hard to recycle items from residents on Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Many electronics can’t be brought to Illinois landfills, but the town’s event will help collect them for recycling.

The event is still seeking volunteers, according to a post Monday on the Downers Grove page on Facebook. Those interesting in helping out should call Mary Pratt at 630-434-5559 or Megan Gaw at 630-434-6811.

The Recycling Extravaganza will take place in Lot H of the Belmont Road Train Station. You can enter from Chase Avenue from Curtiss Street. Volunteers will be available to direct traffic and help customers.

According to the Downers Grove website, the following items will be accepted at the Recycling Extravaganza.
