A well-being check led to the arrest of a Downers Grove woman on charges of having open alcohol in a car.
Police responded to a call of a woman sitting in a black Lincoln Navigator drinking in the Jewel parking lot at 6215 Main St. around 12:46 a.m. August 9, reports said.
When police arrived, they made contact with Amy L. Canty, 37. The officer noticed a coffee mug in the center console, along with two bottles of wine in the back seat, police said.
