Westmont Man Charged With Punching Housemate In Face: Cops
Police say he also interfered with the roommate's attempt to report the alleged domestic battery.
WESTMONT, IL --- Police in Westmont arrested a man late Saturday morning after he allegedly punched a roommate in the face during an altercation. Timothy Richie, 55, of the 700 block of W. 65th Street, was arrested on charges of domestic battery in connection with the incident.
According to a police summary, officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance around 11:17 a.m. Richie allegedly punched the victim in the face and attempted to prevent them from contacting law enforcement, which led to an additional charge of interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery, police say.
Richie was taken to DuPage County Jail, where he was later released on bond.
