DOWNERS GROVE, IL — This year Easter falls on April 5, bringing Easter egg hunts and other events throughout Downers Grove. Here's a roundup of where to find the best Easter egg hunts in and around the city.

Bunny Hop Egg Hunt

March 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Cathy Mahoney Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Rd.

Kids ages two to 10 years old can hunt for Easter eggs, make Easter-inspired crafts and have fun in bounce houses during the Bunny Hop Egg Hunt at Cathy Mahoney Recreation Center. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to meet and greet children.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

April 2 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Strictly for participants 21 and older, this Easter egg hunt features eggs that contain raffle tickets. The raffle prizes include gift cards, treats and "unique experiences," according to the event description. Finger foods and appetizers will be served during the event, and alcoholic drinks will be available to buy.

Hosted by Happy Dog Barkery, the Doggie Easter Egg Hunt lets pups use their keen sense of smell to find Easter eggs that are filled with dog treats. Six time slots are available for the event.
