Where's Waldo? Hiding Out In Stores In Downers Grove, Naperville, LaGrange

Throughout July, kids can earn prizes by spotting Waldo at local businesses in Downers Grove, Naperville and LaGrange

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The question, "Where's Waldo?" is one that many of today's parents may remember with fondness or frustration. During the month of July, families have a chance to finally track down the ever-elusive bespectacled man in the striped shirt at several businesses throughout Downers Grove, LaGrange and Naperville.

More than 50 local stores are participating in the Waldo hunt, which is part of a nationwide event called Where's Waldo? On Main Street. The event, sponsored by American Booksellers Association and Candlewick Press, will take place at independent bookstores in all 50 states. Anderson's Bookshops is organizing the event locally.

To start the hunt, kids can get their own "Find Waldo" passport at Anderson's Bookshops locations in Downers Grove, LaGrange and Naperville. The passport includes a list of all local businesses where you can spot Waldo. For each mini Waldo kids locate, businesses will stamp their card. 12 of more stamps earn kids a Waldo sticker and a $1 off coupon, along with an entry to win dozens of other prizes. The grand prize is a six-volume set of Waldo books. The winning names will be drawn on July 31.
