Window Smashed, Cash Register Stolen From Downers Grove Salon

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- A cash register was stolen from a salon in Downers Grove early Sunday after a suspect shattered a store window to gain entry. The burglary took place at Heaven's Beauty Day and Hair Spa, located at 2125 63rd St.

The salon's owner told police that they arrived to the shop just before 10:30 a.m. to find that someone had smashed the glass window panel on the southeast side of the building. Police arrived shortly after to make sure the building was clear before they began an investigation.

According to police, the salon's cash register had been stolen from the counter. Police reviewed video surveillance footage, which they say showed a male coming in through the shattered window and grabbing the cash register from the counter.
