Zelros helping insurance companies

Using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technology.

The insurance industry is evolving rapidly, with new technologies, products, and services emerging to meet the changing needs of customers. But one area that it is still lagging behind in is diversity, specifically when it comes to women. While gender diversity and inclusion is now openly talked about in workplaces, the work never ends and the journey should continue.

In particular, companies have now put theory into action and as the work matures, I am encouraged to see real changes in this area. ” says Linh C. Ho, Chief Growth Officer at Zelros.

Concrete actions need to be taken to promote gender diversity and inclusivity. This may involve actions such as pay transparency, flexible working arrangements, and leadership development programs, as well as fostering a culture of belonging throughout the organization that is sustainable for keeping talented women. Linh goes on to say that, “The insurance industry plays a critical role in managing risk and protecting people's financial security, a lack of diversity and inclusion could result in products and services that perpetuate systemic biases and inequalities. Even with the aid of AI technology, the solutions given are only as good as data it was given to work with. For example, women may be charged higher premiums or offered lower coverage limits due to outdated assumptions about their risk profiles, which can perpetuate gender-based discrimination and exacerbate existing disparities.”
