• Quad Cities Comic Con Comes to East Moline May 23-24 (rcreader.com) — East Moline will host the first-ever Quad Cities Comic Con at the Bend XPO on May 23–24, bringing celebrities, comic creators, cosplay, and gaming to town. Residents can snag discounted advance tickets, enjoy free admission for kids 10 and under with a paid adult, and explore vendors, Q&As, contests, and more all weekend.
   

• WIU engineering students complete hands-on problem-solving in senior project (ourquadcities.com) — Two East Moline students are among Western Illinois University–Quad Cities engineering seniors completing major hands-on autonomous technology projects this year. The senior design teams spent two semesters building and testing vehicle systems, integrating sensors and control software, and presenting their results as a capstone to their engineering degrees.
