Project XV Museum today announced it is presenting the 250 America Illinois Hidden Histories Festival, celebrating the promise of democracy. The festival brings attention to hidden histories and invites audiences to engage with the people, places, and stories that have shaped democratic life across Illinois and the United States. Admission to the museum will be free during the festival, featuring a scavenger hunt with a prize for the winner.
There will be food trucks, local vendors, yard games, free cupcakes in honor of David Strother’s, and more community activities throughout the day.
Festival programming will also include music, dancing, face painting, and karaoke for all ages. The event will also feature high-energy live performances by the El Paso-Gridley Show Choir.
