The 1st Annual Baubles and Bubbles for Charity held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at The Venue at Goebbert’s Farm in Pingree Grove to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley Women Build was a tremendous success.

Created by Kathryn Festen, a Compass real estate advisor based in West Dundee, the event raised $3,010 for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley Women Build. Over 38 sponsors supported Baubles and Bubbles with over 90 women in attendance, who enjoyed an evening of fun with food, music, swag bags, and a jewelry exchange room filled with treasures.

“I want to extend a heart-felt thank you to each and every sponsor for jumping right in without hesitation with monetary donations, swag bag items, raffle prizes and more,” said Festen. “They truly made the event a success and I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support. We are happy to announce next year’s Baubles and Bubbles event is set for June 5, 2025.”

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley’s mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. It is Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat builds and renovates houses in partnership with qualifying families, using as much donated material and labor as possible! Habitat relays on donations and fundraising to assist in their building efforts. Women Build is the largest fundraising effort throughout the year.

Festen adds, “I have been honored to Co-Chair Women Build for the last 2 years. Our goal for 2024 is $100,000 and the money raised through Baubles and Bubbles goes directly to this fundraising effort.”

“Women Build is a season of sisterhood, building and hope. It takes place each May. It is a community of women volunteering together to go onsite to a Habitat home under construction for the day. We go out in teams of 10 and work right alongside the construction crew. In addition, we are asked to assist with fundraising efforts. The unprecedented support of Baubles and Bubbles greatly assisted in supporting this mission and achieving our $100,000 goal.”
