Chicago Man Pointed Gun At Elgin Person After Argument: Police

Police said a verbal argument ended with the man pointing his handgun at another person, who called 911.

ELGIN, IL — A Chicago man was arrested Friday night after allegedly pointing a gun towards a person in the 0-100 block of National Street.

Police got the call soon before midnight. The caller said the suspect, later identified as Daniel Falcon, 19, of Chicago, was pointing a gun int heir direction.

Officers arrived and detained Falcon, who had a loaded handgun on his person, police said. Police said they discovered after an investigation that Falcon had been in a verbal argument with the caller before pulling out the handgun.

Falcon is being charged with possession of a firearm by a street gang member, possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault.

Police took Falcon into custody without incident. His bond was set at $75,000 with 10 percent to apply.
