Elgin Fall Trash Drop Off Event Details

You can rent up to a 15-foot truck and, for $20, get rid of all sorts of electronics and waste.

ELGIN, IL — The City of Elgin is hosting the Fall Trash Drop Off Event on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Waste Management Transfer Station.

From 8 a.m. to noon at the station, at 1245 Gifford Rd., residents will be able to have their secure documents destroyed as well as drop off electronics for recycling.

The cost is $20 cash per vehicle, and residents are allowed to bring up to a 15-foot truck filled with household waste. There's a limit of two TVs per vehicle, and no hazardous waste will be accepted.

The event is for Elgin residents only, and proof of residency must be provided. For a complete list of acceptable electronics, visit the city's website.
