Las Vegas Shooting: Bartlett Couple Caught In Middle Of Gunfire

Elisha and Mike Seng were able to escape the deadly mass shooting without injury.

BARTLETT, IL – Elisha and Mike Seng were about 15 rows back from the right side of the stage at Sunday's Jason Aldean concert in Las Vegas when shots began to ring out. Elisha, 46, first thought the noise was fireworks until a young woman behind her clutched her neck as she gasped for breath and grabbed onto one of Seng's friends, according to the Daily Herald. Mike, 47, immediately covered Elisha's body on the ground as the sound of bullets whizzed past.

Unsure of where the shots were coming from, the Sengs took off running. They were eventually able to make it safely to the MGM Grand and got into an elevator where they met a mother and daughter from Canada, who at the time did not know about the mass shooting, according to the Daily Herald. The Sengs asked if they could sit on their floor until they felt safe to make the trek back to their hotel.

They ended up staying in the MGM room for seven hours, watching as the drama unfolded on TV, and didn't leave the hotel until 8 a.m. the next day. They flew back to the Chicago area at 3 p.m. Monday, according to the Daily Herald.
