New Elgin Park Opens With Splash Pad Coming Soon
Woodview Park has opened on Elgin's east side.

ELGIN, IL -- A new neighborhood park has opened on Elgin's east side and there are plans to debut a splash pad at the same location in the coming days. Woodview Park, at 1080 E. Chicago St., opened its park and playground to the public in recent weeks, according to the Daily Herald. The city is planning to turn on the splash pad at the park in time for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug 19 but possibly a couple days before.
The park, which was funded by federal Community Development Block Grant money, cost $268,000, the Daily Herald reports.
