• With stalemate's end, Dundee mental health board releases grant money (chicagotribune.com) — Mental health agencies serving Dundee Township and northern Kane County, including many Elgin-area residents, will finally see nearly $800,000 in long-delayed grant funding released after a months-long stalemate over board appointments ended. The township's 708 Mental Health Board approved grants, moved to hire an administrator, and set the stage for expanded services like a new case manager position.
