Streamwood McDonald's Hosts Sunnydale Elementary McTeacher's Night.

Sunnydale Elementary School District U-46 held their first McTeacher's Night at the Streamwood McDonalds located at 91 W. Irving Park Rd.

Sunnydale Elementary School District U-46 held their first McTeacher’s Night at the Streamwood McDonald's located at 91 W. Irving Park Rd. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.

On Wednesday, March 15th, the restaurant was taken over by Seventeen Sunnydale teachers that were excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for their School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers and Principals behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.

It's a toss-up who enjoyed their McJob for the evening the most, Mrs. Bradney dressed in a pie costume, or Mrs. Caporale selling the pies for tips! If their teaching gig doesn't work out…Streamwood McDonald's wants them!!

To make to this evening even more special Sunnydale’s Principal, Mrs. Lockwald, who is retiring after 13 Years of service at Sunnydale, and the new incoming Principal, Dr. Valdovino were both there to meet and greet the families.

A special thank you goes to teacher Michelle Vacco who organized the event as well as all the Sunnydale Elementary School teachers that worked with great enthusiasm and excitement, while the families enjoyed a memorable evening.

The school raised over $ 700.00 at the event and plans to use the money to replace the Refrigerator in the lounge as well as teachers wish lists.
