10-Year-Old Reports Suspicious Incident: Cops

ELMHURST – A 10-year-old boy reported a suspicious incident about 3 p.m. Friday while walking home from school in the 400 block of Huntington Lane, police said Sunday.

The driver of a gray older model sedan-type vehicle stopped to ask whether the child needed a ride, according to a police news release. The child declined, and the man left without any further conversation, police said.

The man was described as white with black hair and wearing a black coat.

Police said they are investigating the incident and have increased their presence in the area.
