2 Arrested In Elmhurst DUI Crash: Cops

Four people were taken to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Two people were arrested in a crash with injuries Tuesday in Elmhurst, police said.

About 8 p.m., authorities responded to a three-car crash near York and Fremont streets.

Scott F. Erickson, 29, of Wilmington, was charged with DUI, endangering the life of a child, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed, driving too fast for conditions and improper lane use.

Angelica M. Marsala, 30, of Berwyn, was arrested on a warrant and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer.

Police said their preliminary investigation indicates a southbound car on York struck two others, then hit a building on the west side of the street.

Three adults and a child were taken to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Drugs and alcohol were determined to be involved in the crash, police said.
