2 Elmhurst Home Burglaries Reported

In one, someone entered a house and stole a purse, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Two burglaries occurred in the last few days in Elmhurst. Here is information from the police reports:

  • A house on Windsor Drive was burglarized between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday. The person gained entry by removing a screen and climbing through an open window. The victim's purse was stolen from the kitchen counter.
  • A house in the 200 block of North Geneva Avenue was burglarized between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday. The homeowner returned to find the back door open and property missing from the house. One suspect was described as a Hispanic man, carrying a backpack and wearing a dark baseball cap, a black shirt, gray sweatpants, black gloves and white shoes. The other was described as a Hispanic man and wearing a white shirt, black gloves and black shoes.
